UI is the term used for the design and layout of the User Interface.  

UX is the term for the user experience.  A well designed user interface will deliver a great user experience. 


The UX and UI are at the heart of digital transformation. 

Moving from legacy systems and applications that are challenging to use, and business limiting more than business enabling, to systems that are seamless, intuitive, and enjoyable to use.

The core of the user experience will ultimately be driven by the system architecture, but the UX detail needs to be defined alongside, or even in advance of the user interface. It is the role of the system designer to think not just define the required steps of the user experience, but also to be aware of, and account for, "corner cases" that could result in a failed operation or transaction.


UI stands for User Interface, which refers to the visual design and layout of an application or website. UI design includes elements such as buttons, menus, forms, images, and other graphics that a user interacts with when using the application or website. The goal of UI design is to create a visually appealing and intuitive interface that helps users complete their tasks efficiently.


UX and UI : Digital Product Design

Systems and services related to getting value and competitive advantage from your company data.  Analytics can be descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, or prescriptive.

Data analytics applications include marketing, portfolio, risk, people, software, and digital analytics.

Analysing data either on premise or in the cloud to flag cyber threats, cyber threat actors, cyber attacks, and to deliver post breach forensics on an attack.

Data Analytics

Performing the tests and the QA to ensure that software developments are fit for purpose and ready for use.  Testing can be manual or automated, and will include unit tests, regression tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, and end to end tests, before being released to "super users" who then perform UAT or user acceptance tests.  And finally there are smoke tests - quick high level tests to check core functionality is working.

Any new functionality added to software can have unintended impacts on other parts of the system.

Manual tests are key as a first step, but, in order to enable Agile development, automated testing sequences have to be continually developed and run prior to each update.

Performance testing is also essential : an application's performance is determined by the elegance of the software architecture and design, the technology stack that it is run on, along with the power and resources available to it.

Unit tests are a simple, isolated test.

Functional tests are tests mapped out by the initial requirements: what is the use case, what are the expected inputs and outputs, and did the software behave in the way expected?  Functional tests have to be performed by the development teams, and then again by the business users, as part of UAT or User Acceptance Tests.

Regression tests are tests of processes that have already been tested before: and simply running the same tests again.

Integration tests are progressively important, the more integrated your software application is: the interfaces need to work, and integrated applications must not be impacted by changes. 

End to end tests are complete tests of all elements of a system, where each process that runs within the software, is tested from the start, through to completion.

Testing services can include the provision of courses to train testing engineers to the standards of International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) and Certified Professional Requirements Engineering (CPRE).



Software Testing and Quality Assurance Services and Technologies

AI as a Service / AIaaS - pronounced "ace" is a platform that ingests and analyses specific known data sets, and then provides output that meets confirmed quality criteria, and provides certainty, where required, with regard to IP sources and ownership.


Generative AI platforms are trained on, and ingest large volumes of data from multiple sources.  The issue with this is that the factual integrity of the input, along with IP ownership of the input cannot be confirmed, which makes commercial usability and value of the output questionable.    

AIaaS platforms give control of the data ingested to the user - e.g. internal corporate documentation and contracts, specific website links - so that the IP ownership is known, the credibility of the sources are confirmed, and accordingly the user can know the allowable commercial use cases of the output.

Vertical AI - AI designed for a specific sector or vertical is typically an example of AIaaS.
